Blockchain Research Zurich Meetup

We are a research group at COSS working on blockchain related questions (e.g. external pagewww.futurICT2.eucall_made > research). With the "Blockchain
Research Zurich" meetup, we aim to connect PostDocs, PhD and graduate students who also work on blockchain related research. While the meetup is open to all disciplines and research directions, we start with applications and cryptoeconomics as initial areas because we think they will cover the largest group.
Why not on meetup.com? First, Zurich already has many public blockchain related meetups that we do not want to rival. Second, we saw a gap for a dedicated academic exchange. So, this meetup is targeted at researchers and students from ETH and UZH and possibly other academic institutions and is not open to the general public; presentations by non-academics will stay the exception.

With a critical view on most of today's "cryptoeconomic designs", Michael will speak about how to structure complexity, the role of blockchain technology for socio-technical systems, and how he uses a new simulation tool to inform design decisions.

Blockchain Research at University Zurich
After the summer break, we are resuming our Blockchain Research Zurich Meetup. To kick off the autumn series with our fourth meetup, Prof. Claudio Tessone is guest-hosting us at UZH.
